To our Valued Customers
High quality, well manufactured dietary supplements in general provide health promoting benefits. OneBode is committed to formulating supplements that support the body’s normal functioning for health, wellness and vitality through its founding formulation guidelines that include: whole food vitamins, chelated amino acid minerals, stabilized probiotics and active plant based enzymes. OneBode does not condone the use of performance enhancing drugs, such as steroids, andrstenedione or prohormones to stimulate the body inappropriately. That’s why you’ll never find these or any ingredients found on the banned substance lists of governing sport organizations, in any of our products. However, rightfully so, there are some concerns over the manufacturing of dietary supplements and the accuracy of their labeling.
OneBode and its manufacturers of nutritional supplements are well aware of the potential implications of the presence of certain substances in supplements that are not allowed to be taken by athletes under Olympic, NCAA, WADA, other amateur organizations, and Professional Sports Organizations’ rules.
OneBode, by choice, uses manufacturers that are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified by the National Products Association (NPA). The NPA, the largest dietary supplement trade association in the United States, has developed GMP standards based upon dialogs with member suppliers, other trade associations, and the FDA. This program is based upon third party inspections of member suppliers and comprehensive audits of their GMP programs in the areas of Personnel, Plant and Grounds, Sanitation, Equipment, Quality Operations, Production and Process Controls, and Warehouse, Distribution, and Post‐Distribution Practices. This program ensures that all elements of the manufacturing process are reviewed to provide reasonable assurance that processes are sufficiently controlled so that products meet their purported quality.
Therefore, it is our manufacturer’s policy that they currently do not add any substances that are banned by any of the above mentioned organizations to any OneBode product that they manufacture other than Green Tea Extract and Metabromine (1.5% caffeine blend – 1.5 mg per capsule) in OneBode ESCalate. Green tea extract and Metabrominencontain caffeine which is subject to limits in urine concentration of NCAA athletes. All formulas are currently crosschecked against OneBode labels to ensure that they do not add any substances to any product unless it is listed on the label.
Manufacturing at GMP facilities ensure that the product contains exactly what is stated on the label and are made incomplete compliance with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.
Under the World Anti‐Doping Code's strict liability rule athletes are responsible for any substance found in their body.It does not matter whether the athlete intentionally or inadvertently consumed or used the product. If an athlete tests positive to a prohibited substance the result is likely to be a disqualification and possible sanction or suspension.
Although OneBode goes through every precaution to maintain the quality and purity of our products, it is ultimately the athlete’s choice to supplement with added nutrients that may not be available through diet alone. While our manufacturers or other supplement company’s manufacturers may guarantee the ingredients in their product, or that the use of the product will not result in a positive test, the athlete is still responsible if a prohibited substance or method is detected, even with the guarantee.
Over the past decade, OneBode formulations have been used widely in the professional sports industry where banned substances were not permitted. In an effort to support our athletes, OneBode has worked with athletes to provide necessary product information for them to make their decision.
